This museum, set in a late 19th century historic mansion offers extraordinary collections of opulent Victorian fixtures and furnishings, beautiful historic textiles and clothing, memorabilia from early Laramie and ranch history, and a one room school house.

Tours run from 1:00 am to 3:00 pm, Tuesday through Saturday

Tours usually last an hour, and all tours are guided

Teas on Tuesdays

Teas on Tuesdays are three formal high tea affairs that happen May, June, and July. The efforts benefit the museum curatorial efforts. Come join us for an elegant afternoon of tasty treats and a historical talk put on by our staff.

Evening at the Ivinsons’

The Evening at the Ivinsons’ is our annual fundraiser in August. Members of the Museum Association and friends gather together for silent and live auctions, entertainment, and free tours of the Historic Ivinson Mansion.

Holiday Open House

Every year, as our gift to the community we open The Ivinson Mansion to the public for a special holiday open house. We celebrate with a different theme each year. The Open House is made possible through the efforts of many volunteers and florists throughout Laramie.

Inside the Mansion

As our largest artifact, the Ivinson Mansion is a Victorian Queen Anne style historic house restored to its nineteenth century grace with two rooms and the entire third floor dedicated to Laramie history. See selected rooms and learn the history of this historic house.
